Good and Evil (18)–Physics of Kesdjan Bodies
“Our friend Swedenborg perceived the kesdjan body as possessing interior and exterior parts. The interior part was meant to reflect the Divine and the exterior part to reflect the physical world. This model is crude, but useful for discussing the ontogeny of the kesdjan body over a lifetime.
“As, we have learned, as soon as a human zygote begins dividing it enters into an eight-week period of embryogenesis in which the major organ and human body form begins. Completion of a functional neonate requires another thirty weeks. By the time the fetus is ready to face the objective world, it possesses an atonic energy body duplicating the functional form of the physical body, including, sensory organs and a central nervous system.
“As the baby follows the phylogeny of its species, its organic body begins displaying more and more behavioral elements of the standard set of innate and learned human emotional qualities. The central nervous system changes in the organic body are mirrored by those of the atonic body. By the time, the original zygote reaches maturity, both the organic and atonic bodies are fully integrated and coordinated in temporal functioning. As a mirrored pair, both bodies have access to the memories of the other. Moreover, mirroring offers a rational explanation as to how the body and mind are able to affect each other, for health or for disease.
“During, daily functioning both bodies experience similar desires, feelings, motor actions, and thoughts. The desires in the organic body are imprinted as desires in the atonic body. In all animals possessing a true brain, evolution produced a number of unconscious, bioneurological motivators. The primary motivator being a compelling desire, when threatened, to do whatever must be done so to enhance survival of the physical body. As primates, human possess the same desire, when threatened, to fight or flee so to enhance survival of the physical body, However, in humans, both bodies respond when threatened, but, with humans survival of the imagined, or cognitive self, is most important for it is perceived as eternal.
“Specifically, humans are prone to glorify their imagined selves so to place them above others. Given the proper genome and the proper epigenetic factors, many individuals come to believe that he or she is divine, a god or goddess, a being more important than others. This is called ‘self-love or self-aggrandizement.’ A self-love is the greatest of sins against the Divine for it denies the absolute love and truth underlying Creation.
“There is some truth to this belief as the kesdjan body outlives the organic body for quite some time. Kesdjan bodies are mortal and do decompose eventually, if measured in earth time units. Fortunately, neither space nor time exists objectively in the human astral planes, it only exists subjectively, as is similar to a nocturnal dream.
“The other primary drive imprinted upon the atonic body by the physical is ownership and possession of things for use of the self alone. This drive arises out of the animal adaptation to hoard food so to survive against harsh environments. A similar drive to hoard females so to enhance the survival of a male’s gene is seen in many animal species. These drives in humans lead to selfishness and greed.
“The kesdjan bodies coexisting with organic bodies and brains developing toward self-love or greed, will mirror the physical. This is why the kesdjan bodies, in dreams or after death, have the same desires, or core loves, as the physical-kesdjan pair had in life. This is why organically-extreme kesdjan bodies after the first death will migrate toward hell. But, even such beings must experience purgatory so that they can burn off any divine feelings walled off from their hearts and minds. Swedenborg was correct when he saw that after the first deaths, a kesdjan body lives either in the ‘good and truth’ or in ‘evil and falsity.’ For heaven will not tolerate evil and falsity and hell will not tolerate good and truth,’ finished Gabriel.
As usual, Sophie held a burning question, “Gabriel, I can see that hellish loves cannot come from the Divine directly, but are created by my species by misunderstanding our psychoistic natures. It would seem that every universe possesses a fundamental hurdle which conscious life must overcome. A hurdle that God cannot remove for to do so would extinguish our freedom to choose our actions. Clearly, God does not create universes based upon a self-love. God creates, or comes into universes, with the hope that a conscious creature will arise who can access the fundamental Qualia that God placed therein. That a species will discover the inherent flaw in every universe and discover that they and God can overcome this flaw, allowing that universe to become Divine itself and in pure altruism. What do you think, Gabriel?”
“Brilliant, utterly, brilliant. You do understand! This is why you will choose the third path, as I once did,” congratulated Gabriel.
“But, there is more to tell, as to how kesdjan bodies change as they become fit denizens of hell.
Sophie, most evil persons, at least in the lower classes of society, make no real attempts to hide their evilness. I call such ‘plain devils.’ Many upper class and evil persons, often politicians and businessmen, are extremely skillful in hiding their inner natures from the world by emulating and fulfilling the normal expectations of society when in front of society. I call these ‘gilded devils.’
“In the parlance of our Society, we rank the divinity with kesdjan bodies using a three-world hierarchy. The lowest, or first world, is split into two degenerate worlds. At the bottom is a world composed entirely of the element, Iron (Fe-56). A kesdjan body having the same density as iron would represent pure evil–Satan. Still at the bottom, but slightly higher is a world composed entirely of a slightly more dense element, Copper (Cu-63). A pure copper kesdjan body is equivalent to the god of greed, Mammon. The second and higher world, is composed of the more dense element, Silver (Ag-108). The silver world represents the lower heaven where truth is better understood than love. Such world is the heaven Swedenborg names Spiritual. The uppermost world is composed of the most dense element, Gold (Au-197). This is the world closest to the Divine and resonates with the Divine Love most completely. This is Swedenborg’s Celestial Heaven
“When a baby is born, its kesdjan body can be classified similarly to the organic body by the elements, Carbon (C-12), Nitrogen (N-14), Oxygen (16), and Hydrogen (H). Normally, we sum the molecular weights and use 43 for convenience. If humans did not possess the gift of freedom of choice, the maturing kesdjan body would remain at 43. For freedom of choice is only possible after a species can experience self-love and greed.
“Kesdjan bodies living a life compliant with personal survival and social mortality, but without any much feeling for the spiritual, experience the first death with elemental numbers between Copper and Silver, 78 to 93, approximately. Such persons being happy to live in the uppermost regions of hell in a life similar to the one they retired. Often, it is impossible to convince them that they actually died.
“A kesdjan body converts to Silver and Gold by turning its focus away from egoism and to the Divine so to follow its directives of the good of love and truth. This is why, metaphorically speaking, heavenly beings are heavier and have more substance than hellish ones. This concept is not new to alchemy or metaphysical schools of the past.
